The Monte Argentu Company rises and works in the muntain town of Arzana. The territory of Arzana ranges from the sight of the sea to the inland cowntry and to Punta La Marmora, the highest peak of the mountain chain of Gennargentu. This land is an island in the island of Sardinia.
The isolation preserved this territory and protected nature and traditions, it covered this land from changes. While Europe and World had contacts and imperceptibly conformed traditions, agricolture and the breeds of cattle, here in Ogliastra the natural barriers created a shrine of diversity.
It is a precious territory because it is part of Gennargentu mountains, a place where wild boars and mouflons live together, a place where royal eagles still hover.
A lost world where nuragic ruins and ancient trees watch on life of men and animals.
The products of the Monte Argentu Company are very particular, like the places where they’re produced.
Nothing and nobody can imitate the flavour of the products that arrives from these places, from this nature, from this grate tradition to be able to make hams.
